Outlook Export

 

Description

This report outputs information from OPAS to a format that can then be imported by Microsoft Outlook 2000 and XP. It facilitates the movement of your OPAS schedule into Outlook.

This report requires a one-time fee of $250 (due to the cost of development). As such, it is not available from this web site as a direct download. You can, however, download the report specifications and instructions. See below for the link.

To run the report

In the Works area of OPAS, use any combination of filter or search techniques to reveal a selection of compositions. The list can be any number or combination of works, including a single work.

From the List screen, click the Report icon and select Performance History Overview with Orchestra . Click Preview 

Revisions / Notes

The report can be easily modified to remove the venue, include series or other information

Monthly Calendar - Sunday Start (Portrait)

Description

For any number or combination of activities, these reports produce standard 'wall calendar' or 'grid' calendars for each month's worth of activities. Sunday is the left-most or 'start' date of each week. Activities display start/end times, activity, Project, Conductor and venue code, but these elements can be re-arranged or removed.

Page two of each month shows the repertoire and venue information.

The report is oriented in 'Portrait' mode (standard page orientation)

Program Schedule

Description

Provides a schedule overview and program information for concerts within any date range you choose. It organizes activities by Project.

To run the report

Revisions / Notes

This report was previously known as "Program Memo" and has been renamed as of December 2005 - it has undergone several revisions since then, the most recent in spring 2008. The report can be tailored to include/remove other performance details.

American Symphony Orchestra League Repertoire Submission Report

Description

This report creates a Seasonal Repertoire Report, specifically designed to aid and simplify data entry in the League's own copy of OPAS, saving our clients the time & effort of manually inputting programs on the League's Repertoire Report web site.

American Symphony Orchestra League Contemporary Music Award submission

Description

This report creates the application form for the American Symphony Orchestra League's Contemporary Music Award. For the season you select, it shows the performance of each work composed within 25 years of the season's end date. Composers of U.S. birth or Nationality are also shown as are premiere and commission information. A sample of the completed report is here.

Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Inc. - Program Submssion report

Description

This report prints seasonal programs with work timings, and automatically marks all American composers (those you have designated in your database as either having been born in the U.S. or of American nationality). It is intended to aid submissions for the Performing Ensbmels Program grant.

Season Calendar - 2-Column per page

Description

Intended for a season overview (primarily for future seasons), this report produces a calendar that shows two months per page, each in its own column. Each Day of the month shows activities for the morning, afternoon and evening.

Description

This report shows concert distribution within a season's Series - for each Series it shows each Day of the Week on which concerts fall, and the dates and conductors for each.

Instrumentation Schedule - Detail

Description

Similar to the Instrumentation Schedule, this document provides a list of activities, and the instrumentation required (including solo instrument(s)). For each composition on the rehearsal or performance, it shows woodwind doublings or auxiliary instruments, and a master list of Percussion, Solo, Keyboard and Extra instruments required.

Season 'Spread'

Description

This Excel document shows the distribution of Composers, Works, Conductors and Soloists for each Project across any Season. It shows where and how many times each of these elements appear

To run the report

Most Excel Reports run differently than Word reports - please contact Technical Support if you have any questions.

This report does not go on the server, but rather on your own computer.

  • Open Excel with a blank spreadsheet - set your security so that you can enable trusted macros (contact your IT department or OPAS technical support for help with this step)
  • Then open this Excel Document and enable the macro
  • Enter the start / end date of your season (or the time period you wish) & click the button

Note that as you add/remove information from OPAS, you just click the Refresh button in Excel to see the latest data

Season Overview by Project - Portrait Orientation

Description

Typically run for a full season, this report groups Projects by Type and for each project shows the Dates (with Venue & Series), Conductor, Soloist and Program.

The bottom of the report shows a summary of Repertoire (by composer) and Performers.
