OPAS
The Orchestra Planning and Administration System
Personnel Management - Payroll
OPAS calculates an orchestra’s or ensemble’s payroll based upon the rules and conditions you set up. Per-service payments can be created, and salary information stored. All pay rates can be customized for a specific artist or category of artist.
For each orchestral activity or time period, OPAS will calculate the pay overages based upon the different attendance types, artist types, activity types and other conditions (such as broadcast premiums, doublings, etc) you have created. You have complete flexibility over payment adjustments, and how they are applied - to all musicians at a service, or to individual musicians. You can even assign payroll adjustments to individual artists so that principal chairs, for example, always get the same overage by default.
Payroll can be calculated and recalculated as often as you wish, giving you the ability to create “what if” scenarios. Once finalized, Payroll figures are permanently stored in the database for archival purposes and future analysis; your payroll history is always as easy to see as your current payroll calculations.
OPAS provides complete flexibility in payroll data analysis, so you can see pay amounts per person, per section or for the whole orchestra, for any time period.
