OPAS Version 9
Personnel Areas
Overview - Major Changes
The Personnel areas of OPAS feature re-designed screens, but no major changes in functionality. The number and order of screens has been kept basically the same
Service Attendance
Major changes in the Service Attendance area are actually available now in the latest builds of version
8, so please contact technical support if you'd like to take advantage of these.
The Section drop-down on the Service Attendance screen now includes options for combined sections. Under the chorus sections are Violin 1 & 2, Strings (all 5 string sections), Woodwinds and Brass.
Row heights and Column widths can also be adjusted in the Service Attendance grid (just click n' drag) and these settings are saved with your OPAS profile.

Double-borders now appear between each day in the grid.
The Service Attendance grid can also be set to show Projects in chronological or alphabetical order, to associate musicians with only his/her main instrument.
Services Area
Complete service information has been arranged on a single screen - this makes for a long screen (you may have to scroll down to see it all) but all attendance and pay information now fits on a single screen as shown below.
The top of the screen starts with date / project information and then musician attendance information (as it does now). This is followed by two Note fields: the one currently on the Main screen and the one currently on the Pay Adjustments screen. The data flow from top to bottom is Activity Info >> Musician Info >> Attendance >> Pay Adjustments or Overages >> Final Amount Paid

Immediately below the Note fields are the Pay Adjustments grid which holds the overages/deductions for this service record, and then the Expenses grid (which you mus scroll down to see) displaying the amount actually paid for this service.
