What does it cost?
Nothing – upgrading to OPAS version 9 is free for all clients in good standing (those who have paid technical support)
What are the biggest visual / interface changes?

Screen layouts have changed.
Fields and grids have been rearranged to form a more logical layout; when fields and grids extend off a screen a scroll bar automatically appears, allowing you to fit as much information on a single screen as you like.
For instance, the Address Book for artists now shows the Instrument, Address Group and Agent grids at the top of the Main screen.
What were once tabs along the top of the screen have become buttons down the left-hand side.
You can define the number and order of buttons in each program area, and even decide which fields appear on which screens.
Terms and field labels that link to other program areas have been changed from buttons to links.
In addition, some fields and program areas names have changed to be more accurate and intuitive
What are the biggest operational changes?
- The Enter key will now execute a search (in addition to the F8 key)
- Creating a personal list of custom searches and data exports is easier
- Entering information in Number, Time and Date fields is easier and more intuitive
We will start phasing in a new report writer that gives us more options – for example, when running a performance history for compositions you can specify the time period to be searched and projects to be included or excluded. We can also output reports to Microsoft’s Word 2007 native format and OpenOffice’s Write program.
