Send Group / Bulk Email

Description  

Launches your default email program and inserts the addresses of all selected people in the Address Book, Services area or Tour.

This new version allows you to insert the names into the TO, CC or BC fields

Click here to download the required files and save them to your computer

Installation   

Double-click the file you downloaded and extract (unzip) it to the OPAS\PROGRAM folder on the Server. Restart OPAS on your own PC (there is no need to restart the server).

The “Send Group / Bulk Email” function is available in the:

• Address Book – send emails to any set of address book entities
• Services area – send emails to any combination of musicians assigned to services
• Tours area – send emails to all tour participants

In any of the OPAS program areas mentioned above, isolate the people to whom the email will be sent.

Click the Function icon (the little gear wheel, second from the left at the top of the main OPAS screen) and choose Send Group / Bulk Email - *NEW*. (The *New* tag was added purposely in case you have an older version of the same function in place now). Then click the Start Function button.

The OPAS Send Email window will display:

• The number of people to whom the email will be sent
• The address of each person
• Whether the addresses should be in the To / Copy / Blind Copy fields of the email address
• The Subject and Text (body) of the email.

Click the Start Mail-Client button. OPAS will start your default email program and drop the addresses into the designated field.

Lock / Unlock Services

Description  

Locks musician service records so they cannot be changed or inadvertently deleted. Locked services must be Unlocked before they can be deleted.

To run..    

Open the Services area of OPAS and select any number or combination of Services.

From the List Screen, click the Function icon and select Lock Services or Unlock Services. OPAS will confirm the number of records & execute the function.
